District Büro
District Büro is an independent spatial practice at the intersection of architecture, arts, research and visual culture, based in Istanbul.
Founded by architect and researcher-artist Nilüfer Karanfil, the practice brings architectural work together with writing, photography, film, archives and research-led project development.
We understand the city through fragments, thresholds, structures and memory. Places are read as layered districts rather than isolated objects.
